MANAGER ADMITTING/ADMITTING F

High school diploma or equivalent experience with some additional education (i.e. computer training, communication classes, etc.). We are looking for an experienced Admitting Manager with a proven track record. This position requires three (3) years Admitting Management/Supervisory experience in an acute care facility, and two (2) years experience in admitting, registration, or medical front office. Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of the admitting process and the functional workings of the admitting department. Must have a working knowledge of computer applications. Must be able to demonstrate competency managing departmental budgets. Requires familiarity with insurance nomenclature, managed care insurance, and experience working with federal, state, and local agencies. Must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to demonstrate practical applications of goal setting, quality control procedures, and problem solving skills, and be able to prioritize work needs and demonstrate good judgment.

The Admitting Manager is responsible for the supervision of the daily operations of an admitting work team in all admissions/registrations actions in a defined functional process to include: Supervisors, Team Leads, Patient Placement Reps, Fast Track Reps, Hospital Cashier, Maternal Child Rep, Same Day Surgery Reps, Radiology Reps, and all other Patient Service Reps. The Manager oversees and directs the work team's production and performance to ensure proper utilization and effectiveness of assigned personnel in order to ensure a smooth, accurate workflow. The Manager works in tandem with the other department Managers to manage the daily production of the admitting department and assumes responsibility of the department in the absence of the Director of Business Services.
