Manager Patient Billing

Dept: Radiation Oncology
Responsible for managing the patient billing department by providing guidance to subordinates, planning, assigning, and approving work, evaluating performance, determine/correct errors, and providing project leadership.
Responsible for accurate billing of professional and technical radiation oncology procedures. Must have good judgment in problem solving of billing issues. Will review all charge documents/systems for accuracy (i.e. appropriate dates of service, appropriate ICD-9-Code assignment, appropriate modifiers, correct quantity.), Run reports such as patient counts, special procedures and procedure volumes,

Position Type: Full-Time
Education/Special Skills Required: Must have 4 to 5 years of experience in Medical office procedures, medical procedure coding, and be a certified profession coder-Physician (CPC-P) or Certified Professional Coder -Hospital (CPC-H), Dual credentials preferred. Must be computer literate, intermediate skills in MS Excel and MS word. Detailed oriented a must.
