Summary:
Overall responsibilities for all managed care contracts, activities performance for an area. Of hospitals. Manages the managed care contracting process on an area level and for each individual hospital within the area, including but not limited to contract implementation. Responsible for promoting, maintaining and assisting in the building of commercial referral sources to reach insurance admissions and census goals for the Area?s Hospitals. Educates clinical decision makers in the HMO, PPO, Medical Group, Workers Compensation and Hospital fields on Kindred Hospital(s) programs and services to assure consistent admissions through contracted and non-contracted referral sources. Majority of work is outside the facility.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor?s degree in business or related field, Clinical Background Required, Nursing Degree Preferred. Masters degree preferred.
Licenses/Certification: C.C.M./ Certified Case Manager through The Commission for Case Manager Certification, Preferred.
Experience: Minimum of Five year?s healthcare experience. Three years? experience in healthcare managed care business development required.
