Medical Biller/Poster

Busy, Non-smoking Manhasset ENT Practice. F/T 8:30am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday, no weekends. Full Benefits.

Duties:
* To Post all Commercial and Medicare payments from EOBs

* Follow up on all patient delinquent accounts.

* Working from A/R reports to follow up on delinquent Commercial and Medicare payments.

* At patient check-out, medical procedure with diagnosis charge entries.

* Charge entry for Consults and Surgery procedures performed by our providers at Hospitals.

* Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures; reporting compliance issues.

* Maintains quality results by following standards.

* Protects Practice's value by keeping collection information confidential.

* Serves and protects the Practice by adhering to professional standards, practice policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, andjcaho standards.

* Enhances billing department and practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills/Qualifications:
Must have previous medical billing experience in posting and charge entry, with ENT practice, a plus. Must have good people skills dealing with patients. A Team Player able to work with others in an ever changing environment.
