We are currently recruiting for Manager of Patient Financial Services position for San Diego, CA in our corporate office located in Sorrento Valley between the I5 and the 805, approximately ? mile from the train stop. 

 

This position requires a person that has experience managing 30+ employees in the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of a billing/collection department within an environment that is dynamic and fast-paced.   

 

Skills and Education Requires a bachelor?s degree, or combination of education/certificates and minimum of 10 years progressive work experience in health care of billing/collections.  Minimum 5 years supervisory experienceMust have supervised minimum 30+ employees with final approval to hire/fire, performance reviews, and disciplinary actionsEmployee relations skills required

 

Ideal Candidate Will Possess:Good customer service skills  Strong interpersonal and  communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levelsGood working knowledge of HCPCS, CPT, and ICD9 codesMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel.  PowerPoint and Project Plan, helpfulMust understand HIPPA compliance, FDCPA laws, state/federal guidelines for billing/collections as they relate to health care providers

 

Responsibilities Include 

o  Direct day-to-day supervision of billing/collection department

o  Ability to supervise the evaluation of patient accounts for appropriate handling

o  Audit billing and collections activity for compliance and accuracy

o  Negotiate final settlements or claim reductions

o  Supervise draft appeals, letters to providers, attorneys, carriers and agencies in the pursuit of payment confirmation of contractual compliance and respective billing policies, as appropriate

o  Prepare reports for month end closing

o  Resolve employee relations issues

o  Supervisory and budget responsibility
