Medical Billing Representative - Boca Raton, FL

Tenet is currently seeking a Medical Billing Representative for the Regional Business Office in Boca Raton, FL.

Responsible for handling patient billing and follow-up activities in the Regional Business Office (RBO). 

The primary purpose of this job is to ensure Tenet patient accounts are processed in an efficient and timely manner.

Verifies the accuracy and completeness of patient statements, bills and invoices. May develop queries; generates and distributes reports.

Maintains appropriate records, files and documentation. Works in a cooperative team environment to provide value to customers (both internal and external).



 

QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma required.  Some college coursework in business or accounting preferredUnderstanding of business service functions including billing, collections, insurance and appeals



Previous experience in a hospital business office or similar experience required. 



Minimum of one year in hospital billing preferred. 



Knowledge of ICD9/CPT4 codes. 



Knowledge of payer requirements.
