NHIC, a subsidiary of EDS, has won an exciting new contract with the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that will bring approximately 100 new jobs to Hingham, MA.

NHIC, as the Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC) for Jurisdiction A will perform numerous functions on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries and will establish relationships with suppliers of Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and  Supplies.

Position Overview:

Under direct supervision performs routine office or clerical support tasks according to well established procedures. Resolves routine problems and escalates non-routine issues to immediate supervisor. Examples of work performed may include sorting and distributing mail, photocopying, filing, posting and/or proofing data, or answering telephone calls. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential functions:

Functions may include any of the following according to job expectations: ability to sort, file, retrieve documents, type, enter data, and use a copy machine. Operate on-line computers, balance receipts, proofread and edit. Research and resolve issues within the scope of job, develop written and oral correspondence. Collect and sort mail, determine postage and use metering equipment. Ability to collect, transport, safeguard and deliver mail, secured data, and sensitive documents. Maintain log of collections, deliveries, and mileage. Operate a delivery vehicle. Lift and transport materials.

 

Requisite skills:

?  High School education or related work experience

?  Data entry and basic PC skills
