Medical Office Assistant/Billing/Insurance

Immediate Opening for Medical Office Assistant/Billing/Insurance, needed for long term/permanent position in a busy physical therapy/chiropractic office.  2+ years experience required. 

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: insurance verification, some collections/accounts receivables,monthly patient billing and follow up,insurance authorizations,patient financial consultations, as well as the ability to perform front desk coverage.  Front desk coverage includes answering telephones, scheduling and rescheduling patients, and collecting copays. 

 

Candidates must be organized, professional, able to multi-task, self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills both oral and written, and be comfortable with conveying financial information to patients.  Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding a must, familiarity with ECLIPSE software a plus.  This position is full time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (Flexible) with some evening coverage (6pm or 7pm) on occasion.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
