Operations Senior Manager - Membership Administration

Purpose:

The primary focus of this position is to provide Management oversight of the day to day operational functions of Membership Administration. This position is responsible for assuring the proper alignment of systems and business processes to facilitate the effective administration of Document Management, Contracts Administration, Enrollment processing and Dues Billing Functions.

 

The major responsibilities for this position are:
Managing the day to day operations of the Membership Administration function by assuring that the appropriate management controls are in place to assure that job functions are performed efficiently, accurately, and timely in accordance with established policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
Providing guidance, direction, oversight and support directly to Managers and or Supervisors that are directly responsible for the Document Management, Contracts Administration, Enrollment Processing and Dues Billing Functions.
Analyzing departmental activities to evaluate their effectiveness. Implementing change initiatives through the development and implementation of new systems, activities, and programs.
Developing operating policies, standards and procedures to support the goals and objectives of the Membership Administration department and the MAS region.  

Minimum Requirements:
College Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. MBA or CPA preferred.
Five years of managerial or supervisory experience in positions of increasing responsibility in Health Plan Administration required.
Membership Administration experience preferred.
Experience with the implementation of new technologies and business process reengineering required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Knowledge of Management Techniques, Accounting Principles, and applicable Regulations for VA, MD and DC required.
