Patient Accounts Supervisor, Uncompensated Care Pool/Bad Debt

Responsibilities of the Patient Accounts Supervisor include:

Coordinates, participates in, and supervises the billing and collection function of the uncompensated care pool

 

Handles all patient disputes regarding self-pay balances, as well as patient complaints regarding bad debt placement and communication

 

Maintain current knowledge of UCP regulatory issues to ensure compliance

 

Must have the equivalent of two years college level curriculum, plus at least five years credit/collection experience, including 3 years supervisory experience in a hospital.

 

Requires a broad knowledge of billing and collection procedures, with an emphasis on uncompensated care pool and bad debt.
