Practice Manager

Gastroenterology of Southwest Michigan has an immediate opening for an experienced Practice Manager. We are looking for an out of the box type of manager.  Someone who is able to be proactive instead of reactive.  Our style is to empower our manager to run the daily operation of our practice.  We need someone who is an expert in Practice Management.  We just don't know what we don't know and we are looking towards this new person to help us identify areas for improvement.

Candidates must have experience in the following areas:

-Manage daily operation of a 5 physician, 1 physician assistant GI practice. ~ We are hoping that with this person's help our practice grows from 5 physicians to 6 or 7 over the next year. 

- Marketing of practice/center to local community

- Physician recruitment

- Over the next year or two we plan to roll out EMR (Electronic Medical Records) We will look towards the Practice Manager to be the lead on this roll out and become the expert.

- Employee relations

- Payroll

-  Staff Recruiting

- Capital equipment purchases

- Vendor contracting

- Payer contracting (working along with management company that assists practice)

- Facility management

- IT

- Billing (payment posting, charge entry, collections, medical terminology)

- Accounts payable/Accounts Receivable

- Facilitate all physician and staff meetings (take minutes of meetings)

- Credential new physicians and manage recredentialing process

- Liaison between practice, ambulatory surgery center and paragon healthcare.

 

Candidates must be able to develop long and short term strategic goals for practice (goals will be expected to be documented in writing to owners)
