Provider Relations Director (Director III)

This position is eligible for a $500 Employee Referral Bonus consistent with the University policy.

Responsible for negotiating contracts and fee schedules with independent practitioners, inpatient facilities and Community Mental Health Centers. Negotiates contracts with Anesthesiologists for Electric Convulsive Therapy. Builds, maintains and monitors the University of Miami Behavioral Health's (UMBH's) network of practitioners in South Florida in order to maintain availability and access standards. Works to develop network beyond the South Florida area. Supervises the Provider Relations staff responsible for resolving non-clinical provider service issues (i.e., claims, network updates, fee schedules) and maintains regular communications with the practitioners and staff to sustain a high level of customer service. Works with the IDX Team to load provider contracts and fee schedules in IDX. Assures that provider contracts and all applicable information is correctly loaded into GEO Access. Creates and distributes the UMBH Practitioner Satisfaction Surveys, UMBH Practitioner Newsletter and the UMBH Provider Manual. Conducts orientations and educates UMBH practitioners. Oversees, as well as supervise the UMBH Credentialing Department.

Minimum requirements include, a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or a related field and five years experience in a Managerial role involving Provider Relations and Credentialing. A Master's degree is preferred. English skills (both written and verbal) required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience or certifications will be considered.
