Senior Coding Consultant
Regional Office ? Buckhead
The Consultant will provide training, consultation, audit and feedback to coders and practitioners on their medical service documentation and coding to ensure that Kaiser Permanente - Georgia receives appropriate reimbursement and conforms to applicable guidelines and regulations. Contribute expertise to the development of requirements and enhancements to clinical information systems. Assign appropriate E&M, diagnosis, and procedure codes following coding guidelines for ICD9CM, CPT4, and HCPCS Level II for patient encounters. Perform periodic quality audits of documentation and coding.
A Bachelor's degree with five to seven years of relevant work experience in Healthcare required.
