We are currently looking for a Part Time Medical Assistant for our office in Redding, CA.

This individual will be responsible for:
Prepare, assist and accurately complete forms
Obtain medical history
Place and prepare claimants in exam room for doctor evaluation
Determine and record claimants' vital signs
Perform standard and special diagnostic procedures: 12-lead electrocardiograms, venipuncture, pulmonary function test (PFT), arterial flow Doppler studies, exercise Doppler studies, exercise treadmill stress tests, etc.
Assist doctors during appointments (e.g. chaperone same sex claimants during examination)
Prepare lab specimens for courier
Translate questionnaire forms and/or interpret during evaluations, when necessary (bilingual assistants only)
Change exam room table-paper, as well as general office and equipment upkeep
Complete other projects and duties as assigned

This successful candidate will possess the following:

High school diploma
Medical assistant certificate or equivalent experience in a medical office environment (in front and back office capacity)
Phlebotomy and CPR certificates or proof of military training for Corpsman (DD-214 or training completion certificate)
Willing to travel to multiple locations (if necessary)
Efficient data entry skills
Great customer service skills
Excellent command of the verbal and written language
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
Basic PC skills
