Research Technician/Medical Assistant

Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services is a Contract Research Organization that offers study services to the generic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology industries and other Clinical Research Organizations. We are currently looking for part time nurses. This position will be responsible for overseeing all phases of study progression according to the Study Protocol and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).



Specific responsibilities include assisting with the orderly completion of all study activities according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s). Providing quality control documentation of all study activities as assigned. Performing rapid succession EKGs. Obtaining vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration and temperature. Performing urine drug and alcohol testing using OnTrak and OnSite test kits. Observing collection of urine specimens for drug and alcohol testing. Performing urine pregnancy tests. Observing participant behavior during all phases of study activity and communicate pertinent observations to a Study Manager or Research Associate.

Reporting any adverse event (AE) to the Study Manager or Research Associate. Serving meals to study participants and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen. Providing support to Study Manager or Research Associate during all phases of study progression. Other duties may be assigned



Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience and graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or emergency medical technician program or FMG required. Current CPR certification is required.
