Special Care Resident Assistant - Arbor Gardens at Corona

The SCP Resident Assistant will provide care and activity needs under the supervision of the Special Care Program Manager and assist in maintaining a positive physical, nutritional and social environment for the residents while ensuring they feel safe and purposeful.  Duties include: conducting the activity program while delivering care and facilitating events; assisting residents with activities of daily living; observing any changes in residents? conditions; monitoring vital signs; facilitating the SCP dining/hydration/activities program; assisting with and documenting medications; responding to emergency call signals; collecting and distributing laundry; helping to properly maintain all equipment; promoting and encouraging residents to participate in activities; and answering phones as needed.

 

Qualified candidates will be a licensed CNA, Home Health Aid, Personal Care Home Maker or have completed 54 hours of training; must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials and general public; obtain Food Handlers Permit and meet all State health requirements.  Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
