Clinical Liason

 

Texas Specialty Hospital at Houston, a 59 bed acute specialty hospital is searching for a talented Clinical Liaison to join our marketing team!

Essential Functions Summary:

The Clinical Liaison conducts clinical field evaluations of patient referrals. The Clinical Liaison is also responsible for marketing and the development of relationships with physicians, discharge planners and other medical professionals. Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Clinical Liaison is responsible for assessing the needs of assigned referrals. Based on needs assessments, develops solutions that meet identified needs, which result in inpatient and/or outpatient referrals.

 

Conducts on-site patient assessments in a timely manner after a referral is given by a hospital discharge planner, case manager, physician, or family member.

At assessment, reviews patient records that  includes diagnoses, history and physical, progress notes, nurses notes, labs and x-rays, physician orders; obtains any relevant patient information to facilitate a timely admission to facility.

Educates patients and families on hospital services and admission standards as well as educates/markets facility services to the medical community.

Assists as needed with pre-admission care planning

 

Qualifications

Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director and motivator. Able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.

LVN or RN with unencumbered license to practice

Previous experience with hospital or long term care marketing preferred

Is capable of operating effectively on his/her own with a minimum of direction and supervision

Ability to build relationship/rapport with physicians, case managers and discharge planners.
