Donor Center Coordinator

LifeNet, an Organ Procurement Organization and Tissue Bank, is actively seeking qualified and motivated individuals to join our team in our Virginia Beach office.

 Donor Center Coordinator

 

Duties Include:

Provides accurate and efficient donor referral, organ placement and screening services for LifeNet and contract Organ Procurement Organizations/eye bank clients. Primary responsibilities include preliminary screening of routine referrals for donation potential, coordinating import organ offers for specific transplant centers and in-depth screening to determine medical suitability for recovery and acceptance into LifeNet for tissue processing.

 

 

Requirements Include:

1.  Successful completion of a one year allied health care technical or professional program with current certification, or Emergency Medical Technician, or Hospital Corpsman, or Licensed practical nurse or NREMT-P

2. Licensed practical nurse or NREMT-P preferred.

3. One year of work experience in the profession.

4. Basic knowledge of computers, preferably Macintosh computers.

5.  English language proficiency.

6.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

7.  Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.

 

Working Hours: 7AM ? 7PM; 7PM ? 7AM rotating, weekends required.
