DONOR HEALTH RECORDS SPECIALIST

Consider the American Red Cross, one of the oldest & internationally respected humanitarian organizations! The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Donor Health Records Specialist in our Donor Health Department to join our livesaving team!

 

The Donor Health Records Specialist responsibilities include, but is not limited to,:

 Maintains the integrity of the Donor Deferral Register (DDR) by entering and deleting donor records according to eligibility guidelinesActs indendently to investigate, research and resolve data inconsistencies within the donor databaseEnsures that updates to the DDR are made within required trameframesCompletes all steps relative to the donor callback, subsequent disqualifying information, recall/market withdrawal and repeat-reactive lookback process

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

 Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing or other science-related field (required)3 years of relevant work experience, including prior experience working in a highly regulated, controlled environment with minimal supervisionWorking knowledge of computer data bases, Microsoft Office, data entry and medical terminology requiredAbility to type 30 - 35 wpmEffective organizational, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift 20 - 30 lbs
