Franklin County Residential Services has openings for 3 LPN staff!!! 

 

Franklin County Residential Services has 3 challenging positions for special LPNs who are well organized and can work independently with adults who have mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities around Columbus and surrounding Franklin County communities.

 

1 Full-Time LPN position available?? 4pm to Midnight at our McDowell Road facility (Grove City)

 

2 Part-Time LPN positions available?

? 6:30am to 9am at our Morse Road facility (between 270 & Hamilton Rd.)

? 4pm to 8pm at our Dierker Road facility (between Bethel & Case Rd.)

 

? Perfect for someone who is looking for extra work before of after his/her primary job or for someone looking to work just a few hours per day. We just need a little help with our morning and evening med passes.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

q Acting on direction of a licensed physician, licensed dentist or at the direction of a registered nurse, administers controlled and non-controlled medication; maintains medication accountability records; maintains medication equipment and supplies; performs skilled nursing procedures; assists nurse in medical procedures; requests, secures and follows up on medical information of residents; provides general nursing care to residents; maintains first-aid supplies and provides first-aid treatment as necessary; screens for communicable and nuisance diseases.

q Observes and documents conditions and responses to, and progress of, nursing care treatment and medications; reports unusual developments to the supervisor.

q Participates as member of the interdisciplinary team working with other professional staff assessing, developing, implementing, evaluating and modifying Individual Habilitation Plans.

q Provides consultation services to staff, residents, parents and significant others regarding health and safety related issues; promotes consistency of programming outside of residential environment; operates county vehicles. 

Qualifications:

 

q Graduation from a approved school of practical nursing

q One-year experience in MR/DD field as Licensed Practical Nurse preferred

q Must be able to lift, bend, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

q LPN License ? State Board of Nursing

q Valid Ohio Drivers License ? Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
