Night Shift Nurses Needed - HARRINGTON HOUSE

New Wage Package! Harrington House, a 90 bed facility in Walpole, seeks two (2) Night Shift Nurses for Long-term Care Unit. 1-Full time, 1-Part time. Must be a MA licensed LPN or RN.

Summary: Coordinate and provide excellent nursing care for residents. Able to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization. Able to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations. Able to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications: Graduate of accredited RN/LPN/LNV school of nursing.

Licenses/Certification: Valid Massachusetts RN/LPN license. Valid CPR certification.

Experience: At least One-year experience in nursing preferred.

Duties: Documents resident's condition and nursing needs. Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders. Supervises, directs and evaluates junior staff members and CNAs. Administers medications and performs treatments for assigned residents, and documents such treatment as required by Kindred, local, state and federal rules and regulations. Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel. Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act. Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner. Coordinates nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments. Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents. Performs other tasks as assigned.
