Interim Healthcare is currently seeking RN's for Home Health Care visits and IV therapy for our Dallas location.
General Purpose:
Provides effective and efficient patient care in accordance with applicable law and regulations, accepted standards of nursing practice and Interim HealthCare policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Integrity
1. * Provides patient care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice, Interim HealthCare performance standards, and the written Plan of Care.
2. * Conducts and/or delegates patient care activities in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
3. * Implements and consistently follows Interim HealthCare policies.
4. * Fulfills all commitments he/she makes to employer.
5. * May have access to personal health information ("PHI") necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.

1. * Provides respectful and compassionate care to all patients/families/caregivers.
2. * Maintains patient confidentiality in all situations, both inside and outside the office.
3. * Demonstrates respectful and compassionate interaction with healthcare team members and other external customers.
4. * Educates the patient regarding his/her rights as a home care patient.
Customer Focus
1. * Provides patient care independently. This care may frequently require the following:
1. - Lifting 10 - 50 lbs
2. - Carrying 10 - 25 lbs
2. * Provides patient care only when he/she is competent to provide that care without direct supervision.
3. * Fulfills all commitments he/she makes to patients/families/caregivers.
4. * Takes appropriate action to resolve identified caregiver or patient concerns or complaints.
5. * Achieves an acceptable level of patient/family/caregiver satisfaction
6. * May have access to personal health information ("PHI") necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.

2. * Creates plans of care and clinical solutions to patient problems using the nursing process and critical thinking skills.

Financial Responsibility
1. * Plans, implements and coordinates patient care through teamwork and the efficient use of available resources.
2. * Collects and reports patient data accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
3. * Is accountable for the monetary consequences of decisions and actions.
Minimum Requirements:
1. * Registered Nurse licensed in the state(s) in which he/she practices.
2. * Twelve months of accumulated experience as a registered nurse within the last five years or, if no experience within the last 5 years, evidence of current (within the last 12 months) clinical knowledge as deemed by the DHCS.
1. - If a new graduate, 1200 verified hours of employment as a graduate or registered nurse within the last 12 months or evidence of completion of a company-approved Preceptor Program.
3. * If a state standard exists that is higher than these education/experience requirements, the state standard supersedes these qualifications.
4. * CPR Certified.
5. * Meets applicable health requirements to provide patient care.
6. * Meets the requirements of federal and/or state criminal and abuse background checks where applicable.
7. * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English with all levels of the healthcare team, both clinical and non-clinical.
8. * Demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple functions or tasks.
9. * Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with multiple changes.
10. * Ability to travel locally from assignment to assignment.
11. * Proof of valid auto liability insurance and valid driver's license if assignment(s) include driving vehicle to transport patient/client.
