RNs and LPNs for Long-Term Care Facility

About the Opportunity:
We have various shifts available, including Days or Nights and Flexible Shifts consisting of 4,8 or 12 hours.

General:
? Acts as a charge nurse for CNA's and other staff assigned to unit
? Ensure resident rights and dignity
? Maintain HIPPA and privacy of patient
? Establish priorities according to resident care needs
? Demonstrate full understanding of federal, state and local standards
? Assess plan implement and evaluate a resident plan of care
? Perform direct services to residents
? Provide communication to and with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive follow through on issues
? Promptly identify and act on changes in resident status
? Exhibit quality nursing standards of practice in scope of resident care
? Demonstrate competency in services that require the expertise of an RN
? Excellent documentation skills; resident charting, admission, discharges, transfer, treatment, POS and MAR

Key areas of responsibility/qualifications:
* Ability to work under pressure and in a changing environment
? Understand the needs of people at various stages in life in order to give them the best possible care and service. Geriatric (65 + yrs).
? Positive voice/demeanor on phone and answering the phones professionally and friendly is crucial
? LTC environment a plus
? Superior conflict resolution skills and the ability to give and receive constructive criticism is a must
? Ideal candidates are flexible, team players but equally independent, organized, and have excellent communication skills
? Ability to work and establish a positive rapport with a diverse customer base and leadership structure (i.e.: residents, families, nurses, administration) at all levels of this organization is crucial
? A positive, professional and friendly demeanor is a must - looking for a diplomatic attitude in a candidate
? Ability to handle confidential/sensitive issues
? Must be able to supply a list of professional references from each prior position
? Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
? Willing to share ideas, punctual, illustrate daily dedication, take the quality of work seriously, have excellent follow through abilities, and is a fast learner
