Temporary LPN

SUMMARY:

Assist providers with patient care, physical examinations, ancillary tests, and performs a variety of clerical duties.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

'Provide my customer with Exceptional service.
'Escorts patients to exam room, prepares patients for examination and treatment and assists the physician as requested.
'Draws blood and prepares appropriate paperwork for laboratory pick-up.
'Perform urine drug screens (UDS) for DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensure preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory.
'Keep exam rooms, lab area and treatment rooms cleaned and stocked, maintaining inventory of supplies and re-orders as needed.
'Performs front office clerical duties such as check-in, check-out, and record processing.
'Dispense medications as directed by physician and in accordance with state regulations.
'Willingness to participate in CME.
'Answers telephone as needed.
'Maintain and operate all clinical equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
'Perform any other tasks and duties reasonably requested by the Center Medical Director and/or Center Administrator in accordance with established policies and procedures.
'Performs ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the Center Medical Director (i.e. PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

'Graduate of approved nursing program.
'Current registration/license in the state where employed.
'One year experience in occupational health nursing or related field.
'Professionally current CME.
'Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).
'Working knowledge of clinical operations.
'Ability to train medical assistants under the direction of the Center Medical Director.
'Excellent customer service skills.
'Successful completion of UDS, BAT, PFT, FIT, etc., certification.
'Excellent communication skills.
