OUR CLIENT, A NATIONALLY KNOWN PATHOLOGY DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY CORPORATION IS EXPANDING IN THE DALLAS MARKET AND OPENING A NEW FACILITY IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA CANDIDATES FOR PHOENIX POSITIONS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO START WORK NO LATER THAN 12/31/06  INTERVIEWS AND HIRES WILL BE MADE WHEN SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES ARE IDENTIFIED. DALLAS CANDIDATES SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO INTERIVEW IMMEDIATELY AND START WITH REASONABLE NOTICE WE ARE CURRENTLY SCREENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:  LAB DIRECTOR, PATHOLOGY ASSISTANTS, HISTOTECHS FOR PHOENIX.  PATHOLOGY ASSISTANTS AND HISTOTECHS DALLAS.

 

LAB DIRECTOR - PHOENIX

THE LAB DIRECTOR WILL SUPERVISE ALL OPERATIONS OF THE ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY LAB.  THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A DIRECTOR /ASSISTANT DIRECTOR IN AN ANATOMIC PATHOLOGY LAB EITHER FREE STANDING OR HOSPITAL BASED.  MUST BE A LICENSED HT OR MT WITH PROVEN SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE, STRONG COMMUNICATION AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS.

70 TO 80k BASE PLUS BONUS, FULL MEDICAL BENEFITS AND OPTIONS.

 

PATHOLOGY ASSISTANTS - PHOENIX AND DALLAS



The Pathologist Assistant will be responsible for preparing specimens for pathologist to examine and diagnose.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must thrive in a team and service oriented environment.  This individual must maintain a professional demeanor in interactions with physicians and lab personnel. Receive a high number of lab prepared specimens and closely monitor orders for diagnosis.Arrange specimens in a certain order or pattern according to a specific set of rules.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Prepare digital image of all specimens.Assess specimens with the naked eye prior to distribution to pathologists (?Grossing?)

Education, Certification/Licensure, and/or ExperienceNational Certification through the American Society of Cytopathology and/or Certification through the American Association of Pathology Assistants.Bachelors degree in biology or related field

Knowledge, technical skills, and abilities requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to learn internal software programs for preparing for eventual diagnosisKnowledge and experience using diagnosis equipment (microscope, Dictaphone, computer)

Physical: visual acuity, extensive seated periods during diagnosis

Mental: intense concentration and focus required
