Statement of Purpose/Summary of Major Essential Functions: Performs moderate to highly complex laboratory tests authorized to be done in the facility and as ordered by a physician. Follows policy and procedure for handling, processing test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of test results. Maintains records that demonstrate proficiency utilizing testing samples provided. Follows department quality control policies and procedures. Able to identify problems that may adversely impact test performance and can correct problem immediately or notify supervisor and/or technical instrument consultant for corrections. Documents all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the established performance specifications. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree in biology or related science. Completion of internship in Clinical Laboratory Science. 1 year experience in acute care hospital laboratory.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current state license as Clinical Laboratory Scientist
