We currently have a critical need on our $25Million Project Pathway initiative for a BI Developer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and executing Business Intelligence related reports and diagnostics including designing data cubes etc., as well as developing and disseminating a wide variety of analytical reports using Cognos 8.  Other related responsibilities include ongoing user support, maintenance, and other BI related information technology endeavors.  The successful candidate will work with end-users, help drill down to define requirements;  Work with business process owners to develop reports;  Will work closely with customers, other team members, and other IT groups;  Serve as a technical expert on in-house business intelligence/reporting tool solutions;  Provide subject matter expertise, training, and/or development for operational/production reports;  Work with data modeler to develop data mart models, design specifications, and metadata documentation;  Work with report developers to support test and production reporting environments including daily administration, batch processing, configuration management, environment migration, and tool automation;  Assist in the development and maintenance of data warehouse initiatives and reporting needs for the business;  Optimize and maintain existing BI functionality while designing and deploying new solutions;  Pursue continuous improvement of data quality, standardization of data management processes, efficiency, and quality of service Develop and maintain technical specifications and end user documentation of assigned projects and analyses.  We are looking for candidates who have skills and experience in the following areas:  At least 1 enterprise implementation of Cognos legacy versions and 1 enterprise implementation of Cognos 8;  Be able to design and implement basic, intermediate and complex reports;  Expert in Report Studio and Cognos Connection;  Must have good analytical, conceptual and root cause analysis skills;  Must be familiar with the software development lifecycle;  Ability to work with business users on requirements, develop appropriate specifications and build reporting objects;  Experience working with end-users to build reports from concept to implementation;  Experience creating requirements documentation and technical specifications;  Experience with Data Warehousing and Data Marts;  Has working experience in the healthcare industry;  Ability to provide backup administrative support;  Track record of successful authoring of business analytical reports;  Min 1 year experience working with relational databases and SQL programming;  Strong oral and written communication skills;  and an ability to understand key business processes and drivers.
