Lab Aide Phlebotomist

Overview : Washakie Medical Center is a critical access hospital located in north central Wyoming at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains, in the city of Worland. The hospital provides a full array of inpatient and outpatient health care services including a Level III trauma Center, state-of-the-art birthing suites, and a specialty clinic providing a wide range of care by visiting physicians.

Responsibilities :

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the collection, integrity and processing of all types of specimens in the laboratory. In collaboration with the Medical Technologist, this person also provides lab support by performing admissions and/or clerical duties. The Laboratory Assistant collaborates with all members of the health care team to provide quality service to our customers. Utilizes professional judgment in working with our customers to provide outstanding customer service and service excellence. Pay range for this position is $10.25 to $16.37.

Qualifications :

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
College science courses preferred

Other Qualifications/Certificate/License:
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Prefer Certification as a Phlebotomist by a national certifying agency (AMT/ASCP or equivalent)
