 Job Description:


The Celebration Health Lab is looking for a Lab Assistant with at least beginning phlebotomy skills in all age groups, significant computer data entry and excellent customer skills.  Will also use fax, phone, and be able to file accurately.  Bi-lingual is helpful.  High school diploma required, and at least 1 year of experience is preferred, along with some formal phlebotomy training.


 


The Laboratory Assistant performs various laboratory support procedures, including phlebotomy and capillary collections on patients in all age groups (newborn through geriatric).  The position requires the exercise of judgement under general supervision.  Work cutomarily involves practical knowledge in various clinical laboratory procedures and support functions.  Acitvely participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.  Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
