We are seeking Laboratory Assistant I who shares our emphasis on quality and accuracy to be responsible for the following:

?  Establish and harvest cultures of bloods and bone marrows for chromosome analysis, under the direct supervision of a California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist

?  Log, label, and prepare specimens for testing

?  Prepare and/or aliquot reagents and media using established formulas

?  Perform routine housekeeping on all laboratory instruments and equipment

?  Order, unpack, log, and store supplies

?  Type final reports to be reviewed and signed by Director

?  Promptly and courteously answer phones, transfer or take accurate messages

?  Maintain the confidentiality of client information

?  Help ensure the laboratory area is neat and clean

 

Our ideal candidate will be a High School graduate with six months related laboratory experience.  Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.  Must possess the ability to answer phones, and to follow directions, Sops, EHS and Company policies.  Intermediate computer knowledge a necessity.
