Laboratory Application Analyst (Healthcare)

Our organization specializes in managing IT for healthcare providers nationwide. We have an opening for a Application Analyst with lab system experience in a healthcare setting. This is an IT department position and it is located in New Britain, CT. Candidates commutable to New Britain or who are willing to relocate to the area will be considered. This is a direct fulltime non-travel IT career opportunity.

 





















General Description

 

The primary function of this position is to lead and support Cerner Millennium clinical applications, with the primary focus being lab. Application Analysts work with the client?s departments to support a full suite of Cerner Millennium applications and other legacy applications and technological solutions to meet the goals of the organization.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

?  At least 1 year?s work experience with implementing and supporting enterprise wide applications such as IDX, Meditech, Cerner, Siemens, McKesson, Epic, etc.

 Experience as a systems and/or support analyst, and/or previous healthcare and/or project management experience.  Includes both implementation and ongoing support experience. Experience in laboratory with an in-depth understanding of clinical systems. Excellent interpersonal skills, (both verbal and written), as well as excellent organizational skills. Strong customer service focus to build and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Ability to work on your own, with solid problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively with both non-technical and technical staff and vendors. Experience with healthcare informatics and/or application development. Experience with MS office software, and Microsoft operating environments Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent in educational and/or work experience.
