MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Technologist to work (second or third shift) in our Histocompatibility laboratory testing for solid organ transplantation.  Primary responsibilities include cytotoxic and flow cytometry cross matching and antibody screening, HLA typing by cytotoxic and molecular methods, infectious disease testing, and interpreting and reporting results.  This position includes shared on-call responsibilities pertaining to tissue typing and cross matching of donors.  The initial training will be done on the day shift.  The length of the time involved in training will depend on the background and experience of the person hired.  Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor?s degree preferably in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry.  One year of laboratory experience is preferred.
