Medical Laboratory Technician (LTP III)

Responsibilities : This position is responsible for performing all essential functions of Testing Level II, as defined by the department. In addition, performs waived and moderately complex tests as defined by CLIA '88 in an accurate and timely manner. Performs highly complex testing as defined by CLIA '88 with supervision. Personnel report to department supervisor.

Qualifications :

MLT (ASCP or equivalent) certification with no applicable laboratory experience, OR completion of a recognized MLT (or equivalent) program and will receive certification within one year from date of hire, OR a High School graduate or equivalent and successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks and served as a medical laboratory specialist, OR a college degree (Associates or Bachelor) with Cytology, Cytogenetics or Anatomic Pathology departmental-specific certification documentation, OR a Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science, applicable laboratory experience preferred. Preference will be given to A.A., MLT (ASCP) candidates with applicable laboratory experience. Requires highly developed interpersonal skills. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with those identified as Company core behaviors. Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills, and high level of self-motivation.
