Operations Manager

Plan, direct and manage the operational, personnel, technical and financial activities of designated sections of the laboratory.  Responsible for the technical development of the department related to process and/or procedure.  Demonstrates applicable knowledge of technical procedures, techniques and equipment in designated areas. Managerially ensures department operations are in compliance with hospital and departmental policies.  Coordinates the financial activities of the laboratory with the Administrative Division Director.  Ensures that marketing and servicing of outreach customer be achieved according to the standards of excellence expected by the hospital and the laboratory division.  Able to develop strong partnerships with staff and management. 



 

REQUIREMENTS:

?  Five years of clinical laboratory experience, including four years in the subspecialty and one year of supervisor experience is required.  Management with an emphasis in Core Laboratory Operations desired. 

?  A baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related science is required, Masters preferred.

?  MT (ASCP) or equivalent is required.

?  Clinical experience in more than one discipline is desirable.
