Pathology Assistant

Nemours owns and operates the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, as well as four major Children's specialty centers in Wilmington, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Pensacola.

The Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, with a long-established and excellent reputation in pediatric health care, draws a broadly diverse patient population. The hospital, supported in part through an endowment from the Nemours Foundation, continues to grow both regionally and nationally and is the tertiary care center for pediatrics within the Jefferson Health System.

 

The Clinical Lab is in need of a Full-Time Pathology Assistant.  The position will work under the direction of the pathologists.  The duties will include gross tissue evaluation, assisting with and performing post mortem examinations and participating in activities in the histology laboratory.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Degree from an accredited Pathology assistant program with certification by the American Association of Pathology Assistants is preferred, however, the candidate with on the job training will be considered.

Understanding of procedures in the histology laboratory is desired.

Training and experience as a histotech or Pathologist's Assistant. B.S.P.A. preferred.

Pediatric experince preferred.
