Job Title: Receiving Chemist

Type: Full Time

Wage: Salary dependent on experience - OT pay available.

Hours: 40/wk, ability to work weekends and evenings is desirable.

Qualifications

Skills in the use of pipetting devices, pH dipsticks, analytical balances, and glassware. Ability to meticulously follow detailed oral and written procedures pertaining to sample receiving, logging, and aliquotting. Basic computer operating skills.



Description

Receiving, logging, and aliquotting biological samples according to standard operating procedures. Preparation of specimens for testing. Preparation of solutions. Calibration of refractometers and pipetman. Data entry into LIMS system. Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies from vendors. Prepare, package, and ship collection kits to clients. Documentation of sample chain of custody. Maintain laboratory cleanliness. Some lifting may be required. Experience & chemistry background preferred, but not necessary -- We will train you!
