Research Phlebotomist

Novum Pharmaceutical Research Services is a specialist Research Organization that offers study services to the generic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology industries and other Clinical Research Organizations. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time phlebotomist.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



?Perform all sample collection procedures required by the study protocol and Novum Standard Operating Procedures.

?Ensure accurate processing of all samples collected as per sample collection and processing instructions, providing proper documentation and verification.

?Comply with safety regulations established in the SOP?s and required by OSHA.

?Obtain supplies needed to perform all assignments.

?Maintain cleanliness of laboratory area.

?Verify, pack and ship samples to appropriate analytical facilities.

?Observe collection of urine specimens for drug and alcohol testing.

?Perform urine drug and alcohol testing using OnTrak and OnSite test kits.

?Perform urine pregnancy tests

?Observe participant behavior during all phases of study activity and communicate pertinent observations to a Study Manager or Research Associate.

?Report any adverse event (AE) to the Study Manager or Research Associate immediately.

?Provide general support to Study Manager and/or Research Associate during all phases of study progression as necessary.



Qualified applicants must have one-year medical experience. Certification in Basic CPR required. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
