Sleep Center Manager - Clinical Operations Experience

Overview

This position will include managing staff and handling all operations and administration for the sleep lab.  This dynamic leader will ensure that medical support services of the highest quality are delivered consistently and efficiently.  In addition, this position will be responsible for developing staff, managing budgets, promoting the practice within the community, and ensuring compliance with all medical and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities

- Management of a staff of 8 to 12 sleep lab professionals.

 

- Ensure all policies; procedures, etc. are uniformly applied

 

- Ensure Routine Maintenance is carried out as required in the building

 

- Screens & Approves Purchasing requisitions and sends to corporate for payment

 

- Maintains and track of all lab partner referrals

 

- Target non partner physicians and educate to bring other referrals to the facility

 

- Ensure Confidentiality, Security & Safety procedures are executed timely & efficiently

 

- Recommends staffing requirement in the areas of Interviewing, training, and discipline of sleep lab employees and in addition pen performance appraisals

 

- Maintins good public relations and employee morale

 

- Make sure scoring reports are up to date and maintained to the referring physician

 

- Risk Managment Duties:

- Utilities tour on new employees

- Fire alarm system PM yearly

- MSDS manual updates

- Ensuring techs are completing equipment log errors, eyewash checks, infection control, cleaning schedules

- Know process incident reporting, medical record review, and peer review

-  Active involvement of Performance Improvement and OFI

-  Attend Quarterly Regional Quality meeting

- Conduct Fire, Disaster and Code Blue Drills

- Competency on technologist new and ongoing

- Maintains OSHA compliance

- Maintains CPR for all staff

- Review concerns, complaints, or questions relative to compliance issues, ensuring that correct process are in place for accurate, complete and compliant programs. 

 

-Review financial performance for the Sleep Lab

 - Run end of month reports

 - Review collections goals

 - Review referral performance

 - Keep Variable and Salary expenses within lab budget

 - Help corporate office establish New Year budgets
