Technologist (GC/MS) 069228

3rd shift 11:45pm - 8:15am Tuesday - Saturday Perform forensic quality Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry(GC/MS) single ion monitoring (SIM) of urine and GC Headspace Flame Ionization Detection (FID) analysis of urine and blood for drugs of abuse.  Operate 7-11 GC/MS instruments simultaneously to include tuning, loading/removing samples, analyzing data and documenting work.  Operate Chemlan software on local area network to track samples, configure insturments, process data and produce reports.  Perform maintenance as needed to include changing liners, front and rear end maintenance, changing columns, changing sources and cleaning sources.  Follow Good Laboratory Practices(GLP), College of American Pathologists (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Program(LAP) guiddelines and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) guidelines.

License/Certification/Education: This position requires a BS in Biology, Chemistry or other life science degree.
