SCHEDULING COORDINATOR

 

DUTIES:

 

1.  Greet Patient with enthusiasm and a huge smile, call patient by first name!

2.  Check Patients in and updates all personal and insurance information.

3.  Verify treatment plans and financial information to patient upon arrival.

4.  Input insurance information on the chart and in the computer.

5.  Notify clinical staff of schedule changes and patient arrivals.

6.  Verify Patients insurance coverage on emergency basis only.

7.  Answer phone and schedule patients.

8.  Verifies charts for next day.

9.  Print and maintain master schedule for Audit.

10.  Tracks referral source and send thank you letters with gift certificates, then noted in the referring patient?s chart.

 

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR

 

DUTIES

 

1.  Interview all New Patients.  Make sure to welcome patients and introduce them to the doctor and staff.

2.  Check patient?s insurance information.

3.  Contact insurance company to verify eligibility and coverage.

4.  Present treatment plans.

5.  Present treatment cost.

6.  Make payment arrangement with patients.

7.  Collect payments.

8.  Prepare bank deposits.

9.  Check on status of insurance claims 30/60/90 days.

10.  Post insurance and patient payments and file payment vouchers with claim copies.

11.  File insurance claims and/or submit electronic claims daily.

12.  Handle and evaluate denied insurance claims.

13.  Answer insurance and account questions on balances/transactions.

14.  Balance petty cash weekly

15.  Monitor and manage all front office duties.

16.  Run monthly billing statements.

17.  Assist Office Manager in planning and projects.

18.  Coordinate training for new and existing front office employees.

19.  Assist the back office supervisor with office policies and projects.

20.  Perform regular front office meetings.

21.  Handle NSF checks from patients.

22.  Check inventory and orders office supplies.

23.  Sends Electronic Claims daily
