Medical Informaticist

A Medical Informaticist bridges the gap between the day-to-day practice of healthcare information management and the imperative to bring the best of research in information systems and clinical computing to the information infrastructure used by Intermountain Healthcare.  The key goal served by this position is to maintain Intermountain Healthcare at the forefront of existing and emerging ways to manage and use information technology to increase the quality and safety of care, while appropriately reducing its costs.



Advanced Degree in Medical Informatics, Nursing Informatics, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience. PhD or MD with substantial experience preferred.  Must have a thorough understanding of medical information systems, theoretic and applied research and graduate-level educational activities and have demonstrated technical and leadership qualities.
