Nurse Practitioner - Brockton, MA

Cogent Healthcare, a national leader in inpatient management, seeks two Nurse Practitioners (NPs) for nights (11pm - 7am) to join our hospitalist team in Brockton, MA.  Prefer NP who specializes in Adult Health and whose primary area of practice is in the acute care in a hospital setting.  Responsibilities include performing admission history and physicals, identifying, treating, and managing acute illness from admission through discharge under the supervision of the physician.  Continuous interface with Hospitalist physicians, local PCP and specialty physicians, RN care coordinators, client, hospital peers, and corporate clinical reporting managers is required.



Education, Training, Experience:Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with MSNLicensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in state for which position exists 1+ years adult acute care experienceRecent inpatient experience (w/in last 5 years)Certification in Adult Acute Care (preferred), will consider Family Practice and Geriatric certification with recent acute care experienceWill consider new graduates with acute care experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)Well-developed communication and influence skills
