Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant / NP / PA

Fulltime, Part-time and Per Diem opportunities for our facility in Greensboro, NC.

 

? Preventive, pre-placement, non-injury and diagnostic services; work injury care (minor ortho injuries, lacerations, corneal abrasions, etc.); physical therapy; and return-to-work programs in outpatient facilities primarily open Monday through Friday.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES
Apply and modify the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide primary patient care. Work closely with Centers to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care.

 

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of professional medical practices related to treatment of work-related illness and injuries.Knowledge of organizational and medical policies, regulations and procedures.Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe medical environment.Skill in developing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence. Skill in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance and quality control standards.Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the general public.Ability to react calmly, objectively and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, staff and clients.Good telephone manners and etiquette.Strong organizational skills; orientation to detail.Excellent people skills. Ability to motivate and work effectively with others.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide medical treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries.Chart all patient transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.Evaluate the effectiveness of existing clinical methods and procedures and suggest improvements.Comply with ethical, legal & professional issues.Comply with applicable regulations and with corporate policies and procedures.Comply with quality assurance for all medical issues and assist in the solution of any medical problems.



 REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
Graduate of accredited program and licensed as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.


EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice or General Practice preferred.
