We are seeking a dynamic NP / PA to join our growing Medical Practice.? This position will be instrumental for our continued growth.? The position?will be as a team member of an Internal Medicine practice with a significant Women's Health component.

This is a 32 hours per week position, with additional hours available for a NP / PA with experience in an Urgent Care Clinic setting.? This position comes with competitive salary and a full benefit package including health, dental, paid time off and a 401k package.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

?

Under the direction of a supervising physician, the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant provides primary care services to the adult patients within the scope of license. Primary care services include assessment, diagnosis, management and treatment of episodic illness and chronic illness, as well as health promotion and general evaluation of health status.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

?

1. Evaluate patients and render care, within the scope of practice in the outpatient and diagnostic lab setting.
2. Teach, counsel and assist patients and families regarding current health problems, health maintenance activities and preventive behaviors.
3. Evaluate and modify healthcare plan as related to patient compliance and outcomes, under the supervision of a physician.
4. Write medication and other orders as required for the management of patient care, as directed by a physician.
5. Order, perform and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicate and document information.
6. Perform examination of patients, and obtain/document information regarding patient history.
7. Maintain detailed, legible and confidential medical records in accordance with established protocol, including computerized records as applicable.
8. Acquire information on the most current developments and trends in the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant field, through educational programs, in-services, professional associations and literature.
9. Participate in quality assurance activities and/or clinical trials.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:?

?

Education: Master's Degree in Nursing- Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assisting

?

Experience: 1-3 years relevant experience in a similar clinical environment is preferred

Certifications/Licenses: Licensure as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. CPR certification also preferred
