Respiratory Care Manager - (KP11539)

Centene Corporation provides multi-line managed care programs and related services to individuals receiving benefits in Medicaid, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the State Children's Health Insurance (SCHIP). In addition, the Centene contracts with other healthcare organizations to provide specialty services including behavioral health, disease management, nurse triage and treatment compliance.

Basic Functions -
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
oAssessing, planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the services required to respond to an individual's healthcare needs to attain the goals of quality and cost effective care
oAdministration of Respiratory Wellness Programs in accordance with AirLogix standards
oCommunication of the care plan agenda to the Home Respiratory Therapist and assist in the execution of the education program
oMonitor the member via phone triage every thirty, sixty or ninety days depending on the member's disease severity.
oOther duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications
Associate Degree

Minimum experience (number of months/years and type of work experience beyond formal education); state type beside months/years.

1 - 2 years

Essential knowledge, skills, equipment used, competencies and abilities needed:
oGraduate of a two year AMA approved Respiratory Program.
oRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) as recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensed by the Work-site State as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
oMaintain certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
oWorking knowledge of all respiratory therapy functions and treatments including the technical and physiological impacts and therapeutic alternatives.
oFlexible, tactful and be able to perform under pressure. Ability to work with a diverse group of clients.
oAbility to work independently utilizing professional skills and initiative. Low risk of expose to infectious disease.
oWork is low in physical demand; writing, typing, phone interplay and filing.
oMedium stress level caused by frequent interruptions, busy environment and rapid change.
oClerical ability for typing and transcribing orders.
oGood communication skills, both oral and written.
oIntegrity to maintain confidentiality of information about clients constantly
