MD/DO Degree; valid State of Florida Medical License; Board Certified/Eligible in a primary care specialty; and successful completion of an approved internship and residency program; and three years work related experience, required. Demonstrated ability to work with young adults and mid-level providers; and interest/experience in health prevention, education, and outreach programs, required. Primary Care experience, including office gynecology and orthopedics preferred. Position #030971. Duties include: providing primary care for students and individuals who are eligible for care at the Student Health Center. Serving as a consultant and supervising physician to the other Health Service professional staff members, including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Participating in ongoing quality improvement programs and participating in campus outreach programs, including teaching and counseling individuals and groups on all matters relating to health including substance abuse, alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. Providing health care education to staff as needed during weekly meetings and other interactions. Providing coverage during emergency situations including but not limited to hurricane duty. Excellent English skills, verbal and written, required. Salary: Competitive.
