Supervising Physician Assistant

Dept: Division of Hematology and Oncology
The Supervising Physician Assistant in the Diagnostic Bone Marrow Clinic works in the outpatient clinical setting as a member of the health care team actively affecting quality patient care. The managers major responsibility is directing the daily operations of the Diagnostic Bone Marrow Clinic. These responsibilities include all operational, clinical, and administrative components. Will also assume general Physician Assistant job responsibilities as needed. The Supervising Physician Assistant works in a collaborative relationship with physicians and nurses of the Division of Hematology and Oncology to coordinate clinical care, as well as all activities of the Diagnostic Bone Marrow Clinic.


Additional Information

Position Type: Full-Time
Education/Special Skills Required: Physician Assistant and Physician Assistant National Certification required. CPR certification required, ACLS preferred. Graduate from an accredited Certified Physician Assistant Program. Current Illinois Licensure as a preferred. Two years of experience as a Physician Assistant required, experience in an ambulatory oncology setting preferred.
