Clinical Content Developer

Zynx Health develops Internet-enabled, evidence-based tools that empower healthcare organizations to improve the quality of medical care and to reduce healthcare costs safely.

 

Job Description:

The Clinical Content Developer will work as part of a team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, editors, and a librarian.  The primary responsibility for the clinical content developer is to develop and maintain literature summaries, order sets, and other content that will be integrated into hospital or ambulatory electronic medical record (EMR) and computerized provider order entry (CPOE) systems.

 

Specific tasks include (1) systematically reviewing the medical literature to identify best practices, (2) writing brief summaries of the identified literature while following Zynx Health methodology and style guidelines, and (3) translating best practice literature into order sets and other content that can be automated into clinician workflow while using EMR/CPOE systems.  Members of the Zynx Health content development team will have opportunities interact with clients and assist them with their content needs.  Please note that this is a full-time position.

 

Qualifications:Physician, physician?s assistant, nurse, nurse practitioner, or pharmacist with clinical experience (ie, interaction with patients) is required.The clinical content developer must be able to multitask and work both collaboratively and independently within a deadline-driven environment.Essential traits include strong analytical skills, organizational skills, technical writing skills, verbal communication skills, and computer literacy.Familiarity with the concepts of study design (eg, meta-analysis, systematic review, randomized controlled trial, etc.) and evidence-based medicine is preferred.Availability for limited travel is preferred.Experience in clinical oncology or healthcare information technology is desirable but not required.
