CODER OUTPATIENT/INPATIENT

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years prior work experience as a coder within a hospital coding department. CCS, CCS/P, RHIT, or RHIA preferred. Must have knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology. Must have a working knowledge of computer applications.

Responsible for assigning accurate diagnostic and procedure codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing of all types of records.

Salary commensurate with years of experience in the position/specialty.
