Cerner Applications Programmer

Our client, a large healthcare provider, is seeking an experienced Programmer/Analyst to provide functional information systems support for one or more of the following Clinical Systems:
 - Cerner Millennium
 - PICIS OR Manager
 - GE QS
 - Horizon Cardiology

 

This includes implementation, operational administration, strategic planning, maintenance and troubleshooting of these systems.


 - Will provided orientation and ongoing education to physicians, staff, and other users. 
 - Will be involved with formulating detailed disaster recovery plans and process workflow,
 - Will be involved in identifying present and future hardware, software, and other system infrastructure needs and their associated budget preparation costs.
 - Will participate in change management activities (system implementation, testing, upgrades, training) involving supported areas.
- Will review, analyze, and modify programming systems including query-retrieval and document coding, testing, debugging, and installing/upgrading to support the Clinical Information Systems.
 - Preferred experience working with  HL7 to include integration testing, and interface troubleshooting.
 - Responsible for the daily operation of a multi-facility enterprise EMR.
 - Writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures.
 - Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts.
 - Requires a minimum 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. 
 - Bachelor Degree required
- Three or more years hospital clinical experience and three years with Information Systems in a Healthcare setting. 
- Clinical electronic charting application implementation 
 and support.
